January’s Story Hour for Grownups features Frank Child reading yet another intriguing short story by Brendan Dubois, “The Star Thief.” Frank has previously read the author’s chilling “The Dark Snow” and also “A Family Game.”

“ This story deals with two brothers and the future that they create for themselves. One of the brothers is exceptionally good and has a dream, while the other is nothing but trouble and a bully who teases his brother, or is it the other way around? See what happens to this pair as life gets in the way of their ambitions.

“Award winning mystery/suspense author Brendan DuBois is a former newspaper reporter and a lifelong resident of New Hampshire, where he lives with his wife Mona and their neurotic cat, Oreo.”

As always the event, which takes place on January 8 at 2 pm in the Library’s downstairs community room, is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Library at 508-548-8961.
