Event: Author Reading “Writing Woods Hole”

Two authors will read from their recent fiction set on Cape Cod in an evening event at the Woods Hole Public Library on Wednesday, July 25. Woods Hole resident Stephan Junker, whose voice many will know from his hosting on our local NPR radio station WCAI, will read a short excerpt from the novel he is currently working on. 




Nava Renek, who summered in Woods Hole as a child and is still deeply connected to the town, will read from her recent novel Mating in Captivity published by Spuyten Duyvil of New York. Her book is made up of a series of stories, some of them set on Cape Cod, that focus on all kinds of relationships as characters struggle to find connection and meaning in a complicated and sometimes vacuous landscape of the 21st Century. 



The program, which will begin at 7:30 PM, will be held in the lower level meeting room of the Library at 581 Woods Hole Road and is free and open to the public. For more information call the Library at 508-548-8961 or see the website www.woodsholepubliclibrary.org
