[Classifieds] Cello Concert this Evening, 9/21 at Falmouth Academy

There will be a cello concert by Evan Drachman tonight at the Simon Center for the Arts at Falmouth Academy starting at 7:00 PM. It will include works by Bruch, Elgar and Chopin.

Evan Drachman is the grandson of the renowned cellist Gregor Piatigorsky. In honor of his grandfather, he formed the Piatigorsky Foundation in 1990. The  Foundation is dedicated to making live classical music an integral part of everyday life for communities throughout the United States.  Piatigorsky believed that beautiful music is not a luxury for the elite but rather a necessity of life for all. As Artistic Director of The Piatigorsky Foundation, Evan has become one of this country’s most respected authorities on the presentation of live classical music to diverse audiences.  At this concert, Evan will be accompanied by the wonderful pianist Mary Au.
