1ST ANNUAL FALMOUTH FALL TOWN-WIDE, DO IT SAFELY YOURSELF, LITTER CLEANUP

          When:  Saturday and Sunday, December 5-6, but you do not need to wait, and you do not need to stop on the 6th.

          Where: Anywhere in Falmouth of your choosing – Your neighborhood, roadsides, beaches, parking lots, public property, conservation land…Wherever litter can be found.

          Who: Yourself; your family members; small, socially distanced and masked groups.

          Why:  We are 30,000 strong.  Who better than us to take the initiative to achieve a Litter-free Falmouth.

Supplies: Yellow plastic trash bags, orange safety vests and gloves will be provided, or bring your own. (You can also use paper leaf bags.) Information for locations to pick these up will be emailed to all who sign up via Sign-up Genius.

Litter grabbers can be purchased at local hardware stores or online. The organization Keep Massachusetts Beautiful has a promotion for a free litter kit including grabber and tee shirt: https://keepmassbeautiful.org/what-we-do/litter-prevention-cleanup/litter-cleanup-crew-pledge-sheet.html. They do suggest a donation. To obtain prior to 12/5, please place your order by 11/25.

Bags of litter for pickup: Either put at the curb with your weekly trash or email bag location to amrobinson101 at gmail.com<mailto:amrobinson101 at gmail.com> and Falmouth DPW will be alerted to make the pickup.  You are welcome, but not required, to place clean, recyclable litter with your bi-weekly, curbside recyclables.
