Marine Biological Laboratory High School Science Discovery Program



The Marine Biological Laboratory<https://mbl.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6fdedf3022ce4a3988659adbe&id=0b3906f2e8&e=20250edf3f> (MBL) in Woods Hole, MA on Cape Cod, an affiliate of the University of Chicago, has recently expanded its world-renowned education program to offer intensive, hands-on science courses for high school students.  Course topics range from coral reefs, to exploring microbiomes, to CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing.

During Covid-19, scientists from our High School Science Discovery Program<https://mbl.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6fdedf3022ce4a3988659adbe&id=dcab556873&e=20250edf3f>, are available to "drop in" to your classroom to:

  *   present current research topics
  *   expound upon our many MBL SciShoots<https://mbl.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6fdedf3022ce4a3988659adbe&id=752c28b441&e=20250edf3f> topics
  *   offer information on marine science careers
  *   expose students to environmental research and state-of-the-art molecular technologies

In addition, we invite you to attend one of our upcoming free informational webinars highlighting our High School Science Discovery Program.  The webinars will feature each of our five course offerings, what students can expect to learn, and more.  They are open to school administrators, teachers, parents, and, of course, students.

We understand what a challenging time this is for all involved in secondary education.  We hope you will consider the opportunity to have our scientists drop in to your classrooms to help supplement your science curriculum.
