2023 MARINE ART CONTEST INSPIRES STUDENT CREATIVITY WITH FOCUS ON LOCAL MARINE SPECIES



It's not too late to compete in this year's Marine Art Contest for students in grades K-12. The deadline is May 15 -- information can be found on these websites: MME  (https://www.massachusettsmarineeducators.org<https://www.massachusettsmarineeducators.org/>) and Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary (https://stellwagen.noaa.gov<https://stellwagen.noaa.gov/>). Contest rules with entry forms can be found at both sites.



Theme: Exploring the Biodiversity of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary (New England's National Marine Sanctuary located at the mouth of Massachusetts Bay). The contest seeks to expand students' knowledge and appreciation of local marine species in their ocean backyard.



Divisions include: Elementary (K-4), Middle School (5-8), High School (9-12), Scientific Illustration (all grades) and Computer Graphics (all grades). Entries should be submitted online via stellwagen at noaa.gov<mailto:stellwagen at noaa.gov> as either individual entries from students or group submissions from a class.
