Adult Beginning Wheel







Falmouth Academy's Office of Auxiliary Programs is offering a 10-week beginning ceramics class to introduce aspiring potters to the wonder of wheel-thrown pottery.



Under the direction of Falmouth Academy's ceramics teacher Seth Rainville, participants will learn wheel skills as well as finishing techniques such as glazing, sgraffito, Mishima, and more!



Expect to make bowls, cups, vases, and other forms of your favorite ceramics creations. Although this is an introductory class, those who already have experience in clay are welcome.

About Seth Rainville:

Seth Rainville is a potter, educator, and curator. He received his BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and has taught at multiple programs throughout the US. He was formerly the Curator & Exhibitions Coordinator at the New Bedford Art Museum and now teaches at the Falmouth Academy and the Falmouth Art Center. Rainville also serves on the advisory board of the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Newcastle, Maine.
