July Programs at the Waquoit Bay Reserve



 

All programs are free and open to the public. An adult must accompany children. Reasonable accommodations available upon request. Restrooms available at the Visitor Center.

Let’s find out who is living in the bay. Wade out with nets to catch creatures and spend time observing and identifying what we find. Please wear rubber boots or shoes that can get wet - no bare feet. All ages welcome.

Sea Life Story Walk

House for Hermit Crab, Eric Carle



Monday, July 10

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm



Join us for a walk on our trail while we read a sea life story along the way with props and an activity or craft at the end of the walk.

Children 3 - 7 years with an adult, siblings welcome.

6:30 pm



Fun, entertaining live animal program. Get up close to a unique variety of animals.



Join us each week for lively entertainment with an environmental twist overlooking beautiful Waquoit Bay. Bring a picnic dinner and a beach chair. All ages welcome.

Join us on the bluff for a Wampanoag-themed celebration of kids teaching kids!



Enjoy a complimentary taste of Wampanoag cuisine. Bring along a picnic dinner, a beach chair and the whole family for an evening of fun!



Activities Include:

Native drumming, mishoon burning, corn husk doll making, storytelling in the Weekuw, native dancers - be part of the dance circle.



Author Danielle Greendeer will read from her children's book "Keepunumuk: Weeachumun's Thanksgiving Story".



Wampum Moon jewelry and art available to purchase.
