<pre style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><font size="2"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">their home in Boston to paint her parents’ portrait. Gardner, an eminent New England poet, and Fanny, his well-born, eccentric wife, are packing up their belongings, selling their large home in Louisburg Square, and retiring to a small cottage in Cotuit on Cape Cod. </span></font></pre>
<pre style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><font size="2"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The drama unfolds as Mags tries to get her uncooperative parents to pose amidst the</span></font></pre>
<pre style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><font size="2"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">distractions of packing up and intermittently <span> </span>throwing out a lifetime of possessions as well as the manuscript Gardner has been working on.</span></font></pre>
<pre style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><font size="2"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">In “Painting Churches”, Howe, captures the vivid, lyrical, often hysterically funny, portrait of a family.</span></font></pre>
<pre style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><font size="2"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Performers Goldstein, Toner, and Sargent are veterans of the Woods Hole community, on-stage and off. Their last production was “Pinteresque”, a program of one-act plays by Harold Pinter, produced with much acclaim for the Woods Hole Women’s Club this winter.</span></font></pre>
