seashells to pine cones to horseshoe crabs, this class will focus on
illustrating the natural forms around us, concentrating on drawing
"what you see" rather than "what you think you see" in a particular
subject - exploring lines, light and shadow. We will work primarily
with pencil and colored pencil but techniques and subject matter may
progress for repeat students. Students may bring their own object from
nature, but a variety of specimens will be provided. We will also
review the many different ways illustrators contribute to the field of
