series is held on the first Thursday of each month in 2010 with a pre-talk
reception. The reception will begin at 6:15 with refreshments and a chance
to mingle with our speakers and view our exhibit space. Talks begin at 7

that fish make sounds?<span> </span>Scientist are learning more and more
about the many ways that fish and other aquatic animals use sounds to
communicate underwater.<span> </span>Unfortunately we know very little
about underwater communication and sounds completely unknown to science can
routinely be recorded right here in the coastal waters of Massachusetts, in the
deep canyons offshore and amazingly right off the docks in the heart of New York
City; even in the local ponds, rivers and lakes of New England.<span>
