AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL – 50 YEARS<BR>On Thursday, July 14, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., in Redfield Auditorium, the WHOI International Committee is sponsoring a talk by Amnesty International titled "The Tools of Science in a Tactical Arms Race: New Frontiers for Human Rights Defense” by Scott Edwards, director, Science and Human Rights Program, Amnesty International. High technology, from satellite imaging to smartphones, is helping in the effort toward worldwide human rights.
