I'm tackling a project that I have been pondering for over a decade. It's a "bucket list" thing. I have had the privilege of being a "sideman" for some amazingly talented songwriters over the years. Their songs are indelibly etched in my heart, soul and mind. You deserve to hear the collective genius of these beautiful human beings. So I intend to present my take on a collection of these gems - many of which the general public will never have heard before. Some of these have never even been released before.<br><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;">        </span>The songwriters are for the most part Singer/Songwriters from the New England area (with some notable exceptions). So far the list includes: Judd Fuller (currently touring with Rodney Atkins), Mike Benjamin (legendary Martha's Vineyard artist), Ned Nugent (North Shore musc giant - literally), Brian Alex (of Entrain fame) and numerous other credits, Tony Richards (Brother Jump, K-man Band, New York Chalk), Justin Beech (Two Ton Shoe), John Cruz (multiple Grammy Award winner) and more to be announced.<br><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;">        </span>Here's the hard part - where I have to ask for your help. I am contributing all the Studio time, the performers are donating their time as well. The songwriters are contributing their songs and some are playing on the record. All of these donations amount to thousands of dollars worth of effort. But I still need to raise the funds to Mix, Master, Replicate the CD and do some Promotion (I have applied for a grant to assist with promotion). Those costs are between $3,000 and $4,000. <br><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;">        </span>I have launched a "Kickstarter" campaign to raise this money (<a href="http://www.kickstarter.com/" target="_blank">www.kickstarter.com</a>). Kickstarter has created a great way for friends, family and fans to participate in helping to launch projects like this (see below). Please take a look at my personal Kickstarter page and consider supporting the project. Contribution levels start at just $10 and there are rewards for every contribution. I have only 60 days to raise the funds so if you are interested in the project please visit the website for full details by clicking this link:</div> <br><div><br></div><div><a href="http://kck.st/nlOPV5" target="_blank">http://kck.st/nlOPV5</a></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for taking a look. We're a great way for artists, filmmakers, musicians, designers, writers, illustrators, explorers, curators, performers, and others to bring their projects, events, and dreams to life.</p><p>The word “project” is just as important as “creative” in defining what works on Kickstarter. A project is something finite with a clear beginning and end. Someone can be held accountable to the framework of a project — a project was either completed or it wasn’t — and there are definable expectations that everyone can agree to. This is imperative for every Kickstarter project.</p><p>We know there are a lot of great projects that fall outside of our scope, but Kickstarter is not a place for soliciting donations to causes, charity projects, or general business expenses.
