Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">All WHOI staff and students are invited to attend a multimedia forum “A Year of Science in the Pacific,” a retrospective of projects funded by philanthropist Ray Dalio and the Dalio Foundation aboard the M/V <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Alucia</i> and other vessels. It will be held today, May 10, from 2:30 – 4 p.m., in Redfield Auditorium. Since 2011, Ray Dalio, who is passionate about the ocean, has supported the work of many WHOI scientists and engineers with grants and access to his research vessel M/V <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Alucia</i>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Additionally, Dalio has engaged WHOI’s seagoing expertise in the operation of his ship, creating a unique model for enabling access to the sea. During the forum, WHOI scientists and engineers who have conducted science from the M/V <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Alucia</i> and other vessels will highlight the important and exciting work made possible through the generosity of Ray Dalio. A TGIF will follow from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. under a tent in the Redfield courtyard.</span><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times
