I am looking for female mentors who would be interested in volunteering at the workshops (helping with the hands on activities, answering questions the girls may have about being a scientist etc). The workshops will be held April 19th and 26th from 9 am to 1 PM at the Waquoit Bay Research Reserve. Volunteers are asked to come from about 8:30 am to 1:30 PM and are welcome to sign up for one or both days. The middle school girls will be the same on both days. The girls are being invited to participate based on teacher recommendation and we are targeting girls who have had little exposure to science outside of school. This is the first time I've run these events and am hoping we can inspire these young girls in our community!</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for considering being a mentor!</div><div><br></div><div>Anna</div><div><br></div><div><br><div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; " data-mce-style="color: #000000; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;">*****************************<br>Anna Michel<br><a href="mailto:amichel@whoi.edu" target="_blank" data-mce-href="mailto:amichel@whoi.edu">amichel@whoi.edu</a><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; " data-mce-style="color: #000000; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;">Assistant Scientist</div><div>Applied Ocean Physics and Engineering<br>Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution<br>266 Woods Hole Rd, MS#7<br>Woods Hole, MA 02543<br>508-289-3078</div></div></div></div><div>-- <br></div><div><span></span><div>Diana Kenney<br>Science Writer/Editor<br>Marine Biological Laboratory<br>7 MBL Street<br>Woods Hole, MA 02543<br>508-289-7139<br>dkenney@mbl.edu<br><a href="http://www.mbl.edu" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://www.mbl.edu">MBL Homepage</a> | <a href="https://www.facebook.com/mblscience" target="_blank" data-mce-href="https://www.facebook.com/mblscience">Facebook</a> | <a href="https://twitter.com/MBLScience" target="_blank" data-mce-href="https://twitter.com/MBLScience">Twitter</a> | <a href="http://blog.mbl.edu/" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://blog.mbl.edu/">Blog</a> | <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKUBiBDXmMg" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKUBiBDXmMg">Video</a><br></div><span></span><br></div></div></div><div><br></div></div></body></html>
