All blood types are needed, especially O negative. O- donors are “universal” donors, meaning O- blood can be transfused to any patient in need. Cape Cod Healthcare currently only has a one-day supply of O- on hand. Every pint of donated blood stays on Cape Cod to serve the community and to save the lives of friends, family, and neighbors.
