Her grandfather, Ernest Cutting, was a conductor and talent scout for NBC in the 1930s, directing orchestras for Jack Benny, Jimmy Durante, Fred Astaire and others. Ms. Cutting lost both parents at an early age and was raised in an Ashram in Florida, adding to her musical influences. As a young adult Ms. Cutting traveled to England to study with folk-revival pioneer A.L. “Bert” Lloyd, who had inspired and mentored electric folk bands such as Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, and 5 Hand Reel. Ms. Cutting worked directly with members of these bands, returning to the US deeply inspired to continue the new electric folk tradition that they had started. With her first band, The New St. George, and now with OCEAN, Ms. Cutting has applied techniques learned from these folk-rock pioneers to both traditional and self-penned material. Today, with a BA and an MA in music and numerous songwriting awards to her credit, she works as an ethnomusicologist at the Library of Congress and maintains an active recording studio in Takoma Park, MD.</span><span style="font-family: "Times New

Ms. Moscatiello is a native of Washington, D.C. and a veteran of its thriving Celtic music scene. She has sung with several bands including Ceoltoiri and Whirligig, and has a voice that Billboard magazine has called “one of the most gorgeous instruments in all of folk-tinged pop". Mr. Winick is a vocalist who studied with legendary Irish balladeer Frank Harte. He is a Library of Congress folklorist with a penchant for songs of the sea. He earned a PhD in Folklore from the University of Pennsylvania, and currently teaches at George Washington and George Mason universities. Champion Scottish fiddler Andrew Dodds of the acclaimed group Iona rounds out this diverse and lively quartet. Mr. Dodds teaches Celtic music at George Mason University, where he co-founded the Celtic Music Ensemble.</span><span style="font-family: "Times New
