Linking original and traditional songs to older stories, they express their roots in Celtic and Franco-American folk music and retrace the journeys of immigration, when people shared tunes and tales from their homelands even as they planted deep roots in the new soil. Their harmonies expand to 3-parts with Max Cohen's smooth baritone and deft, humorous songwriting, and a rich variety of toe-tapping tunes are supported by Max's driving guitar and Alex Bell's rock-solid percussion. Nuanced, heartfelt vocals in English and Irish, dance-saturated Celtic/Québecois fiddling from one of the pioneers of the contra dance music renaissance, sparkling guitar fingerpicking and rollicking bodhran will have you singing and dancing along, as this group journeys effortlessly and unforgettably from L'Acadie to the Mist Covered Mountains. </b></div><div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; " data-mce-style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><b> <br>For more info visit: <a href="http://fiddlingdemystified.com/bands/mist/#&panel1-1" target="_blank" data-mce-href="http://fiddlingdemystified.com/bands/mist/#&panel1-1">Mist Covered Mountain website</a></b><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; " data-mce-style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;"><br></div><div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium; " data-mce-style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: medium;">All Concerts take place in the <b>Woods Hole Community Hall,<br>68 Water Street, Woods Hole.</b><br>All concerts begin at 7:30 PM, Doors open at 7:00 PM.<br><div><br></div>Admission: $15 ($12 members; discounts for seniors, youth, and children).</div><div><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; " data-mce-style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;"><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; " data-mce-style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;"><div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline">><> ><> ><> ><> ><> </div><div>Margaret Sulanowska</div><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; " data-mce-style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;">Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution<br>McLean Bldg. 201, MS #8<br>266 Woods Hole Rd.<br>Woods Hole, MA 02543<br><div><br></div><a href="mailto:msulanowska@whoi.edu" target="_blank" data-mce-href="mailto:msulanowska@whoi.edu">msulanowska@whoi.edu</a><br>phone: 508-289-2306</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"></div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"></div><br></div><div><br></div></div></body></html>
