<span style="font-weight:normal">The Thornton Burgess Green Briar Nature Center joins in the annual Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival offering tours of premier gardens in Sandwich on
</span>Wednesday, July 13.<span style="font-weight:normal"> Visit the following gardens anytime at your leisure between 10am and 4pm. Tickets, with a description of each garden and directions, are $5 per garden and may be purchased in advance or on the day
of the tour at the Green Briar Nature Center, 6 Discovery Hill Road (off Route 6A) in East Sandwich. All proceeds help support maintenance of the nature center’s award-winning wildflower garden.

<span style="font-weight:normal">Begin your tour in the “Shirley G. Cross Wildflower Garden” at Green Briar, where many floral examples will be in bloom including hydrangeas. This is a place to pause and appreciate the beauty of flowers in a unique setting.
Also, check out Green Briar’s pop up plant sale. Then head to the “Hidden Garden” at 9 Summer Street in Sandwich Village. This gem includes dahlias of many shades, layers of morning glories, many different perennials and annuals, and several examples of hydrangeas
in shades of pink to blue to deep purple. There is also a kitchen garden ready for summertime eating. “A Nook of Nature” is a third garden on the tour, located at 4 Bankowski Street just off Route 130 in the Sandwich Village area. This circular cottage
garden includes many varieties trees, shrubs, perennials, succulents and annuals. A selection of hydrangeas, daylilies and hosta of various sizes and coloration are spread around the garden. A twin-waterfall goldfish pond provides a perfect spot for relaxation.</span></p>
