Sound to Understand and Conserve the Ocean.” Seawater is remarkably transparent to sound, making it one of the most powerful tools in an oceanographer’s arsenal. A panel of acoustic experts will discuss the many ways that ocean life uses sound and what those
sounds can tell us about biodiversity, health, and our impacts on marine ecosystems. The panel will include
