The Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen celebrates our native blueberry during the height of the season on
<b>Saturday, August 12</b>. From 11am to 2pm, come by and enjoy a blueberry dessert served in the historic Jam Kitchen for $8 plus a demonstration of old-fashioned blueberry jam making and jam tasting samples. Browse in the unique Mercantile offering jams
and a wide variety of nature-related books and gifts for all ages. View the exhibits in the Thornton W. Burgess Gallery featuring the life and works of the renowned naturalist and children’s author born here in Sandwich. Stroll the paths of the Wildflower
Garden and grounds around the Smiling Pool Pond.</p>

A special family story time is offered at 11:30am and 1:00pm with Kelly Carey, author of “How Long Is Forever,” about a grandmother who is lovingly baking the first blueberry pie of the season for her young grandson. Families are invited to take a 20 minute
