Hey guys,
Just to clarify - Jim's lecture is going to be IN THE LAB on thursday, in the lab neighborhood closest to the CA office, i.e. the one that the optics bootcamp is using for their whiteboard work.

   regards,
           Wallace

Subject: Jim Mcilvain Lecture on thursday

Dear Physiology students,
Hopefully we are all excited about the boat trip on thursday morning. In addition to the boat ride, we're going to be having a brief lecture from Jim Mcilvain, our fearless Zeiss microscopy guru and a steadfast supporter of our course, a guy who knows a hell of a lot about practical microscopy. the goal of his lecture is to augment the optics part of the bootcamp with discussion of some other issues that confront the microscopist trying to image cells on commercial systems. He's going to give his lecture, which is 30 minutes long, twice, once from 9:30 - 10:00, and once from 10:30 - 11:00, so that while half the class is on the boat, the other half can hear Jim's lecture. The lecture will take place in our class lab, in the neighborhood closest to the CA office. Please attend this lecture, it is going to be interesting, everyone will learn something, and also we owe the continued success of this course to the generosity of the vendors and especially Zeiss who are providing a lot of our microscopes!

    -wallace
