<html><body><div style="font-family: verdana,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000"><div>Dear Xenopus community,</div><div> In an effort to encourage the generation of mutants and transgenics for the community the NXR has modified the price structure for custom transgenics and knockouts. </div><div><br></div><div><span style="text-decoration: underline; "><strong>Knockouts</strong></span></div><div>The NXR has a pipeline in place for generating knockout tropicalis and laevis animals. We currently are using TALENs, but we will have Crispr-Cas up and running in the next few months. The cost for making knockouts is broken down as follows:</div><div> $1500 to inject and grow embryos to adults as F0. This is either TALEN or Crispr. We confirm that mutations are present in the tadpoles and provide 10-20 adult animals. </div><div> $2000 if you would like F1 adult animals.</div><div><br></div><div> $500 to clone TALENs pairs. (You can also just order the TALEN constructs if you wish to use in your own lab.)</div><div> $100 to clone Crispr sgRNA construct. (Not yet available.)</div><div><br></div><div><span style="text-decoration: underline; "><strong>Transgenics</strong></span></div><div>We also can create custom transgenics using the Gateway system. We have several available marker promoters and you can provide us with your promoter of interest.
