Scientist to study the genetic underpinnings of Branchio-oto-renal syndrome using Xenopus and mouse. This position conducts laboratory research on an independent and collaborative basis.
</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">Duties Include:</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Research and study of Branchio-oto-renal syndrome phenotypes using Xenopus and mouse;</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Design and evaluate experiments and develops new ideas;</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Plan and develop research methods and techniques within the framework of the project;</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Perform craniofacial histology, molecular biology & microinjections;</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Maintain accurate records of research findings and analyzes results;</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Prepare research results for publications in reports, papers, journals, books and other media;</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Attend, contribute to, and lead internal and external meetings;</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• A strong record of publication including at least 1 first author peer-reviewed publication; it is preferred that this be in the field of craniofacial
development.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Experience in developmental biology, embryological manipulations, microinjection and/or electroporation, and molecular biology techniques.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif; color:black">• Organizational and communication skills, ability to think critically and creatively, and capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.</span></p>
