The Falmouth Commodores 2009 Home Opener is tomorrow , June 13 at 7pm! And for the first time ever, a Commodores Opening Day Parade will be held tomorrow at 12:45, traveling from Guv Fuller Field to the Falmouth Library, with a brief ceremony to follow.

Every Summer, the best collegiate baseball players in the country come to play in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Started in 1885, the Cape League has become THE premier collegiate league in the country, playing with wooden bats in front of scouts from every MLB franchise.

Players like Mike Lowell, Kevin Youkilis, Jason Varitek, Justin Masterson, Danny Bard, Jason Bay, Mark Kotsay and Falmouth Commodores Jacoby Ellsbury and Javy Lopez all got their start in the Cape League...and those are just the Red Sox!

Games are played under the lights of Guv Fuller field in downtown Falmouth (behind the Falmouth Police Department). Bring a blanket or sit in the bleachers, bring a picnic dinner or buy a burger at the concession. Bring the kids and stay after the game to meet the players and grab some autographs. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated (we're the most non-profit of non-profits...We're not "GM non-profit"...but we're close!).

And be sure to get your tickets to the CCBL All-star game being held at Fenway Park on July 23rd! General admission tickets are just $10 and available at:
