Date: SEPTEMBER 26, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Place: Woods Hole Public Library Book Sale: ½ Price for 1 day For one day the Library will offer all the books in their book sale room for ½ price, to clear the way for additional new books. After the one day special, the sale will continue at the standard full price of $2 for hard backs and 50 cents for paperbacks till mid-November. 

Date: OCTOBER 4, Sunday, 3 p.m. Place: Woods Hole Public Library Event: Story Hour for Grownups Free and Open to the Public “Story Hour for Grown Ups” starts a new season with three author readings and one book signing. The authors are Enid Sichel reading 3 short whimsical essays inspired by principles of physics and mechanics, Jarita Davis reading her own short story, "Epicurean by Default" and Eleanor Hodge reading excerpts from her recently released "Still Boy Crazy at 90," with copies available and book signing to follow. 

Date: OCTOBER 31, Saturday, 3 p.m. Place: Woods Hole Public Library Event: Story Hour for Grownups $5 SPECIAL Halloween edition of Story Hour for Grownups on Halloween Day, Saturday, at 3 p.m. $5 donation (the "trick"!) The "treat" is a performance by Diane Quaid (who will be reading the poem "The Highwayman" and then a short story "Crossing to Abbassiya") and Cleo Zani, reading Stephen King's short story "Quitters" 

Place: Woods Hole Historical Museum Open through Saturday October 10, Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This year’s two exhibits will be open only a few weeks more. 
The audio-visual presentation about the Woods Hole draw-bridge with time-lapse photography and 
interviews and the stunning show of local potters will both close at the end of Saturday, October 10. Wait no longer! --
