Education First’s non-profit division, Educational Homestay Programs, invites you to host a Chinese student ages 12-18 this summer! From July 17 th -August 5 th thirty four students will be taking English classes in the mornings and participating in local adventures in the afternoons. The program lasts three weeks and we keep the students busy with a great calendar of events Monday through Friday!

Host families are responsible for drop off and pick up at the beginning and end of the day during the week to a local course center, providing meals, a bed, and one weekend of quality time. The weekend of the 27 th the students will be traveling to New York and the last weekend they will leave. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your culture and bring China into your home, in addition to forming a lasting friendship. Speaking from experience this could change your children’s future and open their minds. You don’t need to have children, however; to qualify as a warm host family. Imagine this: a free place to stay with a complimentary local tour guide when someone in your family travels to China.

The students are excited about teaching you how to make dumplings, learning about what families in the U.S. are like, and well they are just adorable.

Host a student and get a sticker in a mock passport. Host two students and get two stickers! You can host up to four students. Five stickers over several summers provides your family with a $200 reward towards any travel expenses.

If you can only host part of the time we may be able to find you a patch family. Can’t host at all but want to assist us in our mission? Successfully refer a host family and receive $50 that you can put towards a fundraiser or organization.
