Waquoit Bay Reserve announces two Free family programs coming up this weekend: 



Nature at Night Full Moon Hike 

Friday, September 28 7:00PM – 8:30PM 

Join a WBNERR naturalist for a nighttime adventure along this amazing coastal area. Explore the beach, dunes and bay under the light of the rising full Moon. We’ll discover the sights, sounds and smells of nature at night and learn about nocturnal wildlife along the way. Walk up to 2 miles. Please bring a flashlight. Rain cancels.

National Estuaries Day 

Hike to the Bay – free family program 

Saturday, September 29, 10:00AM to Noon 



Enjoy fabulous fall colors while hiking the back dune trail out to Waquoit Bay. Discover wetlands, wind shaped trees, fall asters and seasonal birds along the way. Take in the view of Washburn Island from a beautiful bayside beach where we’ll stop to celebrate this valuable estuary. (hike up to 2 miles) 

Meet at Bayberry Parking Lot just past South Cape Beach State Park Lot on the right.
