Call to Gardeners 

The Woods Hole Public Library is calling for gardeners to think of the Library's Annual Plant Sale when they divide their perennials. The sale has always featured plants which thrive in local conditions, and are donated from local gardens for the sale. On Friday, May 17, the day before the sale, volunteers will be receiving botanical offerings at the Library from 10 AM to 6 PM. The group will also happily accept vegetables, herbs and annual seedlings. In addition they are looking for gently used hand garden tools, non-plastic pots and decorative containers. If gardeners need extra pots, there are plenty available at the Library. For information, call the Library at 508-548-8961.

WHPL Plant Sale 


On Saturday, May 18, the Woods Hole Public Library will hold its annual Plant Sale from 9AM to Noon on the Library lawn, rain or shine. 

Avid gardeners always count on this sale, eager to find hardy perennials and shrubs brought from local gardens, sure-fire "winners" in local growing conditions. Interesting flowers, herbs, and vegetable seedlings from commercial growers and local gardeners guarantee a ready supply of garden necessities like tomatoes, peppers and marigolds. This year, we are pleased to additionally offer gently used hand garden tools, nice pots and decorative containers. Gardeners should arrive promptly at 9 AM, not before, for the best selection.
