CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS 


Ethnic Diversity In Massachusetts 

A 501(c)3 Non Profit Photography Project 

Woods Hole photographer Mark Chester has asked that this message be circulated in the Woods Hole Scientific Community. 


As part of a MIRA funded project: Mark wishes to photograph foreign born Woods Hole scientists and engineers who are residents of Massachusetts, and Naturalized U.S. Citizens to participate in this project. (please see attachment) 

It is supported by MIRA – Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition. 

There are approximately 1 million immigrants in Massachusetts, representing a majority of the 193 countries in the world (2010 Census). 

The environmental portraits of men and women at work or at leisure will be published in a booklet to be distributed throughout libraries and schools that show the diversity of people living Massachusetts. An exhibition will also be produced depending on available venues.
