Today, Tuesday, April 1, two producers from the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), Orla Doherty and James Honeyborne, will be visiting WHOI to talk about a major seven-part series they are developing about the ocean. The project is on the scale of the 2001 series “Blue Planet” and the producers are coming to meet with scientists and engineers and to learn about our research. Orla and James are interested in engaging WHOI scientists in generating ideas and opportunities for filming, and will make two presentations to WHOI staff about the series. They will be held April 1, at 10 a.m., in Redfield Auditorium, and at 2 p.m., in Clark 507. All are welcome to attend.
