Come celebrate the beginning of 2016 with some great music by Matt and Shannon Heaton -- husband and wife team who are very active in the thriving Boston Irish music scene. The Boston Herald dubs their inventive blend of old and new music "brilliant, American-bred Irish folk." They have won many awards including Live Ireland's 2010 Traditional Fusion Album of the Year. 

Matt and Shannon offer a depth of shared experience and a love for Irish music that matches their considerable talents as well as their relaxed and humorous onstage banter. Shannon plays traditional Irish flute, pennywhistle and accordion, while Matt, a highly sought-after accompanist and studio musician, supports the melody with driving guitar and bouzouki. Varied influences from classical music to the traditions of Africa and Asia add further depth to their playing -- A great way to kick off the new year!!
