Dear MBL Community: 

You are welcome to attend a panel discussion exploring issues surrounding the state of science publishing, to be held at 10:00AM Friday October 23rd in WHOI’s Redfield Auditorium . 

Publishing Returns to the Academy is sponsored by the MBLWHOI Library. Heather Goldstone of WCAI will be moderator. 

Panelists will include scientists and publishers actively involved in these issues, including: 
Susie Skomal, Publisher of Elementa and BioOne; 
Michael Markie (Associate Publisher) and Omer Gazit (Director of R&D) from F1000; 
Amy Brand, Director of MIT Press; 
Joshua Gray, Editor of the Journal of Toxicological Education (MBLWHOI Library WHOAS platform) and Associate Professor USCG Academy.
