Claudia Schmidt and Sally Rogers will be terrific entertainment on Sunday evening, January 17 at the Woods Hole Folk Music Society concert, captivating the audience with folk, blues and jazz vocals . Rid yourself of the "winter blues" by joining them in an entertaining evening of music! 
Claudia and Sally are seasoned professionals who have toured widely, both together and separately. Their performances include traditional, contemporary and original songs accompanied by 6- and 12-string guitar, banjo and mountain dulcimer and the audience is often encouraged to join them in song! Ms Schmidt and Ms Rogers will be celebrating the release of their new album "Evidence of Happiness," their first collaborative recording in 22 years. 
Raised in the Midwest, Claudia Schmidt has produced a dozen albums, singing everything from jazz, blues, gospel, country and world music to American folk classics. She has been featured on PRI's “A Prairie Home Companion” and “Mountain Stage,” and in the TV documentary "I Sing Because I Can't Fly". Sally Rogers is a performer and songwriter who sings Anglo-American, Celtic, old-timey and original songs and plays guitar, banjo and mountain dulcimer. Reviewers describe her voice as "captivating" and "mesmerizing"; as the Washington Post said, "Rogers' achingly sweet voice imbues her ballads with classic poignance even as it lifts the spirit." Her 15 albums have been recognized with many awards including Parents' Choice Gold.
