COME CELEBRATE HOV ALVIN'S MAJOR MILESTONE 5,000TH DIVE WITH A DAZZLING BLUE PICTORIAL POSTMARK
Calling all HOV Alvin enthusiasts and budding philatelists. Join WHOI, the USPS, and the DSV Alvin Chapter #108 of the Universal Ship Cancellation Society in celebrating HOV Alvin's major milestone 5,000th dive with a dazzling blue pictorial postmark. The event is scheduled for Friday, December 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Ocean Science Discovery Center, 15 School Street, Woods Hole. Bring your prepared, stamped envelopes or postcards to receive this one-of-a-kind postmark designed by WHOI Graphics’ Natalie Renier. If you can't attend the event, the postmark will be available for 30 days by mail-in to the Boston Post Office.
