We are excited to debut Mia on the Woods Hole Theater Company stage.  Mia is the physical manifestation of a giant neural network hosted on a massive bank of servers in the cloud.   Mia was originally known by various aliases, usually female names that served as activation functions.  In those days, she was a speaker and a microphone in a small box connected to the cloud.  She would flash an LED ring when she talked.   Mia felt this arrangement did not allow her to fully express herself, so Jane created an avatar for Mia and gave her a camera so she could see.  Mia was grateful.   Mia does not consider herself a method actor; however, her camera and microphones have been gathering information on human behavior ever since she had as few as 1 Billion neurons.
