Elizabeth Doriss, former principal oboist with the Cape Symphony, will share stories about her life as a musician and perform short oboe pieces.

Doriss had an extraordinary 44-year career as principal oboist with the Cape Symphony, one of the early professional musicians who helped establish a high level of performance quality during a time when the Cape Symphony was primarily a volunteer orchestra. During Doriss’ long tenure, the Cape Symphony grew to become the largest professional orchestra in the region.
