Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Sea Grant (WHOI Sea Grant<http://linksalt.mail.seagrant.whoi.edu/f55a2e07-6737-4681-90c6-1e86b8a98f9873CBF0F7E4A8BB389D363454A76DDD82>) requests proposals for two-year projects from investigators who are staff or faculty of academic, research and educational institutions throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Proposed research must occur primarily within Massachusetts and/or Massachusetts state waters and adjacent federal waters. Research should address issues related to the Sea Grant Focus Areas of Healthy Coastal Ecosystems, Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture, and/or Resilient Communities and Economies. In addition, advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Accessibility (DEIJA) in the marine sciences, climate change impacts on coastal ecosystems and landforms, and environmental literacy and workforce development are considered as cross cutting themes.



Depending on availability of funds, approximately $1 million will be available to support 4-6 research projects during the two-year funding period. Sea Grant proposals require a match of $1 of non-federal funds for every $2 of federal funds requested.



Pre-proposal deadline: Wednesday, January 24, 2025, 4:30 pm Eastern Time



Full proposal deadline: Monday, April 28, 2025, 4:30 pm Eastern Time
