Sierra Cape Cod’s virtual "Third Tuesday Talk” series continues on February 20 at 7 pm with a focus on two interconnected challenges facing local communities—the need to increase housing affordability while relieving development-driven environmental degradation. This Zoom event is open to all; time will be reserved for audience Q&A.

Invited speakers will address the following topics:

  *   Erin Perry, deputy director, and Heather McElroy, natural resources program manager, will introduce the Cape Cod Commission’s draft Regional Housing Strategy<https://www.capecodcommission.org/our-work/regional-housing-strategy/>.
  *   Michael Lach, executive director of Harwich Conservation Trust, will discuss synergies between resource protection and housing development.
  *   Amanda Bebrin, director of housing advocacy at Community Development Partnership, will describe examples of community-based, resource-efficient housing on Cape Cod.
