Dinner & A Movie continues! The Winter/Spring series include twice-monthly in-person screenings of the best in independent film through June 2024. The screenings will be held in the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Redfield Auditorium, located at 45 Water Street, Woods Hole. The program includes films from the past Woods Hole Film Festival as well as other selections curated specifically for this series.

Diesel Dazzle… Got to Investigate Silicones…The Bathrooms Are Coming…? Welcome to the bonkers alternate universe of industrial musical theater, presented by Letterman and Simpsons writer Steve Young.

Young, a Massachusetts native and Woods Hole Film Festival regular, discovered corporate musicals while gathering obscure albums for the Letterman show’s "Dave's Record Collection" comedy bit. Years later, Steve is the world's authority on the bizarrely entertaining shows created for company conventions and sales meetings from the 50’s to the 80’s that the public was never meant to see or hear.

Steve, who is the star of Dava Whisenant’s award-winning documentary Bathtubs Over Broadway, loves to bring his 90-minute show of jaw-dropping delights of industrial musicals to audiences around the country, featuring ultra-rare films from his collection that can’t be seen anywhere else. Thrill to cheerfully twisted in-house musical propaganda from General Electric, Kellogg’s, American-Standard, Citgo, Purina, and more, with Steve’s affectionately irreverent commentary (and even a bit of live music). It’s a secret world of Americana that will astonish, amuse, perplex — and just might make you want to go out and sell, sell, sell!

In this comedy of errors, a hopeless independent theatre owner Michael Wagner (Joshua Koopman) faces skyrocketing rent bumps and decides to take a “screw it” approach to the end of his dream life. Before breaking the bad news to his troupe, he mounts a play called “Cat War” which was written on a dare and definitely was never meant to have an audience. Much to his surprise, the play is a hit! However, this new “strategy” creates a whole new set of challenges.
