WHOI Scientist Dr. Clarissa Karthäuser collaborated with internationally renowned artist Laurie Kaplowitz to create science-inspired artwork. The lyrical meditation, written by Clarissa, introduces you to the life cycle of a key component in our global climate and ocean ecosystem health: Marine Snow. Laurie’s paintings tell the story of Marine Snow and how life on land and in the ocean are not as far apart from each other as they may seem. Join Clarissa and Laurie at Redfield Auditorium TODAY at 5:30 p.m. to see Laurie’s paintings and enjoy a book reading and presentations on their scientific and artistic work.
