Who are we?

The Surfrider Foundation is a national nonprofit dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches. We focus on critical issues such as plastic pollution, ocean protection, clean water, and climate change, inspiring local communities to take action and defend coastal ecosystems for future generations.

What is the film?

Rising Up is a powerful documentary that follows 23-year-old Australian changemaker Kal Glanznig on a global journey to uncover solutions to the climate and ocean plastic crisis. Filled with hope and inspiration, the film empowers viewers to take action for a better future for our oceans and coastal ecosystems.
