Wetlands at Work: Natural Solutions for Wastewater

Come learn how wetlands can naturally clean wastewater and help the environment using nature-based solutions.
This event brings together two experts whose perspectives converge on a question that is ecological and civic: what, exactly, are wetlands for and how can they help clean wastewater?
Through one lens, wetlands are living systems that are adaptive and essential, quietly sustaining biodiversity and stabilizing the broader ecosystems they inhabit. Through another, they emerge as a form of public infrastructure, buffering communities against environmental and public health risks. Taken together, both views suggest something bigger: that wetlands are not incidental features of the landscape, but foundational to how we might think about resilience, health, and the long future of the places we live.
