Now Accepting Applications for 2026 Scholarships

and Financial Assistance

We are now accepting applications for the 2026 Program, offering almost 100 different scholarships and financial assistance for many educational paths to members of our community. Last summer, The Cape Cod Foundation and Cape Cod Association provided over $1.5 million in support to hundreds of local students beginning or continuing their postsecondary education journey.

For students born on and currently living on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, or Nantucket pursuing undergraduate degrees.

New! The Cape Cod Foundation STEM Scholarship

In 2022, The Cape Cod Foundation launched its first discretionary scholarship fund with a $34,000 bequest. Since then, with continual support from private foundations, individual donors, and businesses, The Cape Cod Foundation Scholarship has grown to provide multi-year support to students each year to help ensure they have the resources to complete their education. In 2025, five local students received a total of $35,000 in scholarship support from this fund.


Building on this success, and to address the demand for careers in science, technology, engineering, and math, The Cape Cod Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the STEM Scholarship for the 2026 season. This new fund will provide $10,000, multi-year awards to students pursuing STEM degrees, expanding opportunities for local talent in these high-impact fields.


Because of these initiatives, the Foundation's scholarship team was invited to speak on a panel about the power of collective giving at last fall's National Scholarship Providers Conference. This proven philanthropic model continues to maximize impact for students in communities across the country.

Cape Cod Association Celebrates 175th Anniversary

We'd like to congratulate our partner, the Cape Cod Association, for reaching an incredible milestone: its 175th anniversary. Founded in 1851, the Association will celebrate nearly two centuries of service and over $10 million in scholarship support to students from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket in their pursuit of higher education.


“It is a great honor for the volunteer Board and Committee members to follow each year’s amazing group of students through their college years, knowing that the Association played a role in helping them achieve their educational goals,” said Woody Foster, President of the Cape Cod Association Board. “As the financial burden of higher education becomes more and more out of reach for so many hard-working families and students, we strive to help the next generation of rising contributors from a special place we call home.”


The Cape Cod Association and The Cape Cod Foundation partnered in 2001 and now provide over $1.5 million in scholarship support to local students.
