[Classifieds] INVITATION: Vero Beach, FL Experience with Liquid Only Sewers (LOS). Tuesday, 10/13, 3:00-5:00 pm, MASSTC Education Center

[MBL Classifieds]

In an educational collaboration between the NEWEA Nitrogen Reducing (NR) Septic System Task Force<https://www.newea.org/resources/innovation/resources/> and the Barnstable County Clean Water Center<https://www.capecod.gov/clean-water-center/>, please join us for a free in-person presentation and Q&A with Rob Bolton, Director of Water and Sewer for Vero Beach, FL regarding their decade-long experience utilizing LOS and gravity sewers as their septic-to-sewer approach.

Vero Beach shares many wastewater issues with Cape Cod, particularly nutrient pollution in coastal, sandy soil and the need to upgrade septic systems. After much study Rob selected LOS for their collection system to service 1,500 existing homes, finding that there would be a 50% cost saving compared to gravity sewer in these areas along with less community disruption and faster implementation. He will share his findings, experience and plans to expand the LOS network to an additional 1,500 homes. This event should be of interest to water professionals and environmental organizations across Cape Cod and the Islands. Format will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a moderated Q&A along with refreshments provided by 3PO Networks<https://3ponetworks.com/>.

Please REGISTER<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/beyond-the-flush-vero-beachs-experience-with-liquid-only-sewers-tickets-2002594159038> so we can better plan for seating and refreshments.

Directions to the MASSTC Education Center will be available upon registration.
