Join the Gull Island Institute<https://www.gullisland.org/> and Mass Audubon<https://www.massaudubon.org/> for "Stewards and Thinkers,” a free, day-long community workshop, Saturday October 3rd, 9am-4.30pm at the Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary<https://www.massaudubon.org/places-to-explore/wildlife-sanctuaries/long-pasture>.

In this workshop, participants will explore fundamental questions about place and sustainability with faculty from the Gull Island Institute faculty and Mass Audubon.

We will take part in a hands-on land management project, read and discuss a text collaboratively in a community seminar, and learn from Dr. Nitana Hicks Greendeer (Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe) about the history of Wampanoag Language and Reclamation in relation to the lands and waters of present-day Cape Cod. Lunch and coffee will be provided.

This program is open to 15 participants from Barnstable County, ages 18+, first come first served. Please register for the workshop here<https://bit.ly/4A9TNqz> before September 25th.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council<https://massculturalcouncil.org/local-council/mid-cape/>, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
