Dear Xenopus Community,
Hope you are all having a great summer. This is a reminder to all of you about the Xenopus Mutant Resource. The XMR is there for the community. We can make custom mutants for you and have now over 200 mutants growing in the facility. My staff work closely with you to make the mutant. In addition, you can visit the XMR and work in the facility on mutants, transgenics, etc and housing is provided in one of the cottages here, which has been renamed Xenopus cottage. Availability is first come, first serve. The cottage is booked through the end of November but December and 2023 are available.
Also some exciting news. Leonid Peshkin and I have been funded to generate a single cell platform at the NXR. You can now come and work on mutants and transgenics and do some single cell work all in one. More details to follow from Leonid Peshkin.
I and my team look forward to working with you. I can provide contact information for individuals who have used the XMR if you want to ask questions about how it worked for them. We can host graduate students, postdocs, research assistants and faculty. The NXR and XMR are here for the community to help support your research needs.
Sincerely,
Marko Horb
