Coming next ? the X. tropicalis v10.0 genome. Find JBrowse2 on Xenbase via the Genomes menu on the homepage. One of the big improvements of JBrowse2 is the ability to view 2 genomes simultaneously. This feature allows you to view linear synteny between X. tropicalis, X. laevis.L and X. laevis.S for each chromosome. A Quick Tutorial video demonstrating this powerful feature will be available soon! 2024 Xenopus researcher Survey Open now! Tell us what you really think! We want to hear from you about how you use Xenbase. Everyone?s opinion is valuable- all Xenopus peeps from teaching and research labs, undergraduates, trainees, faculty, adjuncts and staff scientists. Everyone is invited to opine. More CRISPR knockout lines are being developed. The Xenbase gRNA catalog now has 515 gRNAs used by the NXR and in published research, plus JBrowse and JBrowse2 both have a CRISPRscan track of all predicted Cas9 gRNAs against the whole genome and against coding regions. Xenbase has new computer servers with upgraded VMware operating system, so it is now even faster and more reliable than ever. We hope you notice the faster BLAST operations, searches and page load times. Summer and Fall Meetings and Conferences: 4EAC, the 4th European Amphibian Club meetings gets under way in Bordeaux France July 1st-3rd. Xenbase PIs will be there, and we look forward to seeing & hearing great science from our many colleagues and friends in the Xenopus community. SDB: The 83rd annual SDB Meeting (Atlanta, Georgia, July 14-17th) and Midwest SDB meetings (Madison, Wisconsin, August 11-13th) are a great opportunity to promote the excellent Xenopus research being conducted to a broader audience. Hope to see you there! XRET, the Xenopus Resources and Emerging Technologies meeting will be held Oct 11th-14th at the MBL, hosted by Marko Horb [NXR Director and chief frog wrangler] and his staff.
