How brilliant that the CSHL Xenopus Course is running 30+ years after we started it. At the time, we had no transgenics, and Richard Harland's group had just got in situ hybridization working. But we had the lovely frogs, and wonderful students, many now senior investigators. In this turbulent, worrying time, we can find some encouragement in the ongoing outstanding power of the Xenopus system.
