[Xenopus] Bioinformatics Workshop

Hi all,

This year, we are planning to cover two new topics in the workshop.

(1) We will organize a hands-on exercise session on single-cell dissociation procedures. If you plan to run a single-cell analysis experiment but are not familiar with preparing it (or your core facility claim that frog is not a model for a single cell analysis), it would be a good opportunity to do so during the workshop and discuss any issues with other Xenopus folks.

(2) You may hear about "Vibe Coding" these days, a way to make a program (and a whole data analysis pipeline) with generative AI like Claude and Gemini. This year, we will apply this approach to the workshop, so hopefully, the barrier to using any program/terminal/command can be minimized. Even if you know how to analyze Xenopus genomic/proteomic data, if you are curious about how Vibe Coding can improve that, this would be a good chance!

I hope to see you at Woods Hole this April.

Best,

Taejoon

Dear Xenopus Community
A reminder to please register for the Xenopus Bioinformatics Workshop. Details about the workshop including prices and link to registration can be found at the following website
https://www.mbl.edu/research/resources-research-facilities/national-xenopus-resource/workshops-and-meetings

We look forward to welcoming all of you at this new and improved Bioinformatics Workshop. Please register soon since we need to have a minimum number of people attending in order to hold the workshop. We need to have a minimum of 10 people attending to hold the conference and we are only 50% of the way there.

Sincerely,
Marko horb
